Canadian financial institution | Card processor conversion to Fiserv

Putting structure behind a complex card conversion

A large Canadian financial institution was moving its card program to Fiserv and needed help managing the scale and complexity of the change. The founder served as conversion lead. The work began with an assessment of the current program, which led to a new program structure, then carried through test execution and mock conversions to get the program ready for launch.

What the work covered

  • Current-state assessment and a restructured program built for delivery
  • Data conversion mapping, mock conversions, and data validation
  • One test strategy covering system, user acceptance, end-to-end, and regression testing, tied to operational readiness
  • Target operating model heat maps and future-state process flows
  • Command center playbook, blackout-period support, and an hour-by-hour conversion plan
  • Managing day-to-day coordination with Fiserv
